Jamie Lee Curtis received her prestigious award at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival in Venice on Wednesday evening (September 8). The 62-year-old actress won the Golden Lion Honorary Award, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious and respected honours in the film industry. Individuals who have made major contributions to the film business are honoured with this award.

The renowned actress, 62, sparkled in a red leopard print gown as she posed - before winning the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the film festival. She reprises her legendary role as Laurie Strode in the horror movie. The Biennale di Venezia's board of directors and the festival's director, Alberto Barbera, made the choice. Meanwhile, filmmaker Roberto Benigni received the award earlier in the weekend.

Jamie, on the other hand, arrived earlier in the day to promote her new picture, Halloween Kills, which she co-directed with David Gordon Green. Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, after winning her coveted prize, she spoke about it., Jamie said to Biennale Di Venezia: "I am incredibly humbled to be honoured in this way by the Venice International Film Festival. Meanwhile, the 2021 Venice Film Festival runs from September 1 to September 11 and is regarded as one of the world's oldest award ceremonies and one of the 'Big Five' events.
