Gumla: In Jharkhand's Gumla district, two criminals for raping a minor were brutally beaten up by the villagers. Thereafter, burning them alive resulted in the death of one of the criminals, while the other suffered severe burns. The matter pertains to a village under Sadar police station area of ​​Gumla on Wednesday night. The police reported the matter on Thursday. The injured are being treated at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences ie RIMS.

Gumla SDOP Manish Chandra Lal said that both had raped a minor girl from the village. As soon as the girl's family members and other villagers came to know about this, they nabbed the criminals from a nearby village. The criminals were residents of the neighbouring village itself.

Manish Chandra Lal told that the mob that reached the neighbouring village caught both of them and brought them to their village. There both the boys were beaten up a lot. Thereafter, he was burnt alive. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and both were taken to the hospital in badly scorched condition. One died there, while the other is critical. The motorcycle of the criminals was also set ablaze. He told that the girl's family members have lodged an FIR of rape with the Sadar police station. Medical examination of the victim is being done. There is news of tension in the village after the incident. In view of this, heavy police force has been deployed to maintain law and order.
