Kolkata: The West Bengal government has decided to continue the virtual classes started for seven days till June 10, after the state board students received a "great response". State Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said that the government has taken this decision to compensate for the loss due to the shutdown of students from ninth to 12th standard in government schools and government-aided schools.

Chatterjee said in a video conferencing with press persons on Saturday that these classes started on April 7 on a private TV channel. After this, feedback was taken from many students. Due to this response, the Mamta Banerjee government of the state has decided to continue classes till June 10.

He said, "Virtual classes on a private TV channel will be six days a week till June 10. We have received good response from the students for the last five days. Schools will remain closed till June 10, so virtual classes can prove to be helpful for children. She is making.
