As of 11 am, voter turnout in Arunachal Pradesh's assembly elections was 20.70%, while in Sikkim's assembly elections it was 21.20%. Arunachal Pradesh is voting to choose two members of the Lok Sabha and 50 members of its legislative assembly as voting began on Friday. In the 60-member assembly, the BJP has already secured victory in 10 constituencies unopposed, so the focus now shifts to the remaining contested seats. Voting started at 7 am and will continue until 5 pm, with preparations in place for potential bad weather. A total of 228 out of 2,226 polling stations can only be reached on foot, while others are located in remote and vulnerable areas. With nearly 9 lakh eligible voters, including over 4.5 lakh women, the Lok Sabha elections will be decided. In the Arunachal West parliamentary seat, Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju is up against state Congress president Nabam Tuki.

Sikkim is also voting to elect its 32-member assembly, with Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang and former Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling .Around 4.64 lakh voters are eligible to vote in this election to choose 32 members of the legislative assembly and one member of parliament.
