A low-pressure area is forming in the northwestern region of the Bay of Bengal, leading to maximum rainfall in Odisha, coastal areas of Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar. Also, the monsoon trough lies to the north of its normal state, which goes from Ganganagar in Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal.
