Dehradun: An old woman was murdered by slitting her throat in Tanshipur. The daughter of the deceased has accused relatives of murder in a property dispute. Police are investigating the case. Lilavati (80), a resident of village Tanshipur located in the Kotwali area, was living in the village with her widowed daughter Kamlesh.

Kamlesh went to pick up her daughter from school at around 2 pm on Wednesday. During this, someone killed Lilavati by slitting her throat. Around 3 o'clock Kamlesh took the daughter from school to the house and called her mother but the door did not open for a long time. Kamlesh somehow opened the door. When she saw the view of the courtyard of the house, the ground slipped under her feet. Lilavati's body was lying in a pool of blood. As soon as the news was received, the police reached the spot and inquired about the matter. The daughter of the deceased alleged that acquaintances killed the mother in a property dispute.

The same Kotwali in-charge Rajiv Rauthan told that the matter is being investigated. Action will be taken after registering a complaint. According to the police, Lilavati was living in a house with her widowed daughter in Tanshipur village. Kamlesh was married in Bijhauli village. Her husband passed away about 13 years ago. Since then she was living with her mother in Tanshipur. It is being said that the woman's daughter sold her property from Bijhauli village and took some property in Tanshipur village. There was also valuable property in the name of the deceased. There was a dispute with acquaintances about this.
