Gopalganj: An incident of honour killing has come to light in Gopalganj in Bihar. Three persons, including the father and uncle, who were drunk, killed the girl by slitting her throat. After the incident, the body was dumped in the field near the house. The police are investigating at other points, including the horror killing behind the murder.
The case pertains to Kotwa village under Nagar police station. The deceased girl is said to be 19-year-old Kiran Kumari, daughter of Indradev Ram of Kotwa village. The deceased girl's mother Kalawati Devi has alleged that Kiran Kumari's father Indradev Ram wanted to get her married to Birchha's grandson Sharma of Mashanthana village. Kiran and her mother did not like the boy. So she refused to get married. The deceased liked someone else and wanted to marry him. The deceased's mother Kalavati Devi also alleged that her husband Indrav Ram always used to come home drunk. My daughter was opposed to it. On Sunday night, the deceased's father, his uncle and elder father reached home drunk and strangled her to death.
Kiran's (deceased)'s mother Kalavati Devi was also injured when she protested. In the morning, when the police arrived after receiving information about the incident, the body was found in the field. The three criminals fled the house. Sadar SDPO Sanjeev Kumar has said that after the investigation, raids will be conducted to arrest the culprits. SDPO Sanjeev Kumar said that as soon as the Tahrir was received, an investigation was launched under the leadership of city inspector Lalan Kumar. Why was it killed? It has become clear after questioning the people around. The culprits will also be caught soon. The SDPO said that the girl wanted to get married somewhere else and her family wanted to get married to someone else, in this dispute the girl was murdered.
