Bangalore: Railway Protection Force of Bangalore found the body of a woman in a drum at Baiyappanahalli railway station on March 13.

According to the police, three males arrived in an autorickshaw and dumped a drum next to the Baiyappanahalli train station's main entrance. It is believed that the deceased was in her early 30s.  The act was caught on a CCTV camera at the entrance.

According to Superintendent of Police (Railways) Soumyalatha, the incident was reported on March 13 about 8 o'clock. "We learned about a plastic drum from the Railway Protection Force. When it was cut open, there was a terrible scent emerging from a dead body. We are investigating it. We are attempting to identify the perpetrators and have some leads," she said. This has happened three times since December 2022.

The body of a woman was found in a yellow sack in one of the unreserved carriages of the Bangarapet-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal MEMU Special during the second week of December 2022.

Earlier on January fourth this year, the decomposing body of a woman, aged 20, was found in a blue drum abandoned at the end of platform number one of Yesvantpur Railway Station.
