BHOPAL: Joint opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha arrived in Bhopal on Wednesday night for campaign. Senior members of the Congress, including Kamal Nath, the head of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, welcomed him.

Govind Singh, the opposition party's leader in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, met Yashwant Sinha at the Bhopal airport and accompanied him to Kamal Nath's home in the Shyamla Hills.

On Thursday, Sinha will meet with all of the Congress MLAs to solicit their support.

In the meantime, Draupadi Murmu, the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) presidential candidate, will reach  Bhopal on Friday to meet with the BJP MLAs and have lunch with them there.
On July 18, a presidential election will take place.

All of the BJP's MLAs and MPs were called to Delhi last Saturday for a training session on how to vote in the next presidential election.

In the Presidential race, it is to be noted, that along with an independent candidate, the opposition parties include 27 MLAs from the Congress, three from the BPF, and one from the CPI(M).
