Lucknow: 24 employees of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat have tested COVID-19 positive. In view of the Monsoon session starting on 20 August, the officers, staff and security personnel tested on Monday on the orders of the Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit. A team from the Health Department led by ACMO Dr MK Singh reached the Assembly Secretariat for the COVID-19 test.

He tested 620 employees and officers until late in the evening. 24 of these people were found COVID-19 positive. Only one-third of the employees were on duty. Employees and officers who have been found positive, their contact tracing will be done and the office will also be sanitized. There is a steady increase in corona patients in the state.

On the other hand, by August 1 in the state, the death toll due to Corona reached 100. Between August 2 and 17, only four patients died and 514 patients were found infected. Officials of the health department say that the health of serious patients infected with the virus has improved and people are also getting the tests done on time. Recently, the state government has released the report after assessing the infection rate and samples in all the districts. In this, Agra is at the seventh place in the testing, and 60th in the state for coivd19 testing. So far samples of about 78 thousand people have been taken.
