Chandigarh: 76 more patients died on Saturday due to COVID-19 in Punjab. In addition, the death toll from COVID-19 in the state has gone up to 2288. In the meantime, 2441 new positive cases of COVID-19 have also come up in the state. In addition, the number of persons affected by COVID-19 has reached 77057. At present, 19384 critically ill patients have been kept in various hospitals in the state, out of which 613 patients are in critical condition. Of these, 521 patients are on oxygen support and 82 patients are on ventilator.

According to the health department, 14 in Ludhiana on Saturday, 11 in Amritsar, 10 at Jalandhar, 7 in Gurdaspur, 5-5 at Hoshiarpur and Ropar, 4-4 at Barnala, Patiala and Kapurthala, 3 at Fatehgarh Sahib, 2-2 at Bathinda and Sangrur, Mohali, Muktsar, Moga, Tarantaran and 1-1 COVID-19 patients died in Pathankot.

2441 new positive cases confirmed in the state, 331 in Mohali, 313 at Jalandhar, 268 in Patiala, 267 in Ludhiana, 257 in Amritsar, 137 in Bathinda, 118 in Gurdaspur, 110 in Hoshiarpur, 100 in Pathankot, 72 in Muktsar, 64-64 in Faridkot and Fazilka, 47 in Ferozepur, 42 in Ropar, 40 in Mansa, 39-39 in Moga, Nawantown and Kapurthala , 37 in Tarantaran, 24 at Fatehgarh Sahib, 21 in Sangrur, 12 positive patients in Barnala. In these patients, 814 are people with close contact with already found positive patients while 1559 cases have been registered as new cases of COVID-19. At the same time, corona cases are continuously increasing in the state.
