Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his girlfriend by slitting her throat with a blade in Mumbai's Dombivali area. After the incident, the criminal reached Manpada police station in Dombivli and gave full information about the crime to the police. After this, the police reached the girlfriend's house, where her body was found lying on the floor of the room.
The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 302 of the IPC. The incident is said to have taken place on Wednesday. Vaishali Raghunath Mastud, a 42-year-old married woman, lived in room number 9 of the chawl in the pipeline area of Manpada area. She was in a relationship with 33-year-old Sandeep Ahire, who lives in the adjoining room.
Vaishali and Sandeep had an illicit relationship. There was often a fight between the two. At around 11 am on Wednesday, Sandeep went to Vaishali's room under the influence of alcohol and started demanding money. However, Vaishali refused to give the money. Sandeep and Vaishali started quarreling over this. Due to this, Sandeep, who was under the influence of alcohol, stabbed Vaishali several times in the neck with a blade. Vaishali started bleeding from her throat and she grabbed her throat and fell on the floor. After a while, she died on the spot. After killing Vaishali, Sandeep reached Manpada police station and informed the police about the incident. On hearing about the murder, the police immediately arrested Sandeep. A police team reached the place mentioned by him. Vaishali's blood-soaked body was found on the spot, which was sent for post-mortem. Senior police inspector Shekhar Bagade of Manpada police station said Sandeep was not married. He lived with his aged parents. He and the deceased woman were having an affair. The woman's husband works in a private company.
