Prayagraj: In the Chinmayanand case, the division bench of Allahabad High Court has rejected the application of the student to stop the arrest in the blackmailing case. The court has said that it is a special bench that will only monitor the SIT investigation. The court said that in order to stay on the arrest, it will have to file an application in a regular court separately. The court has also rejected the application of the student to re-record the statement under 164 under the Magistrate. The court made it clear that it would not interfere with the works of the Lower Court.

It is noteworthy that BJP leader and former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand is still in jail. Chinmayananda has been kept in the common barrack just like ordinary prisoners. He was arrested on Friday by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the charges of sexual harassment imposed on behalf of a law student. After this, the court sent him to 14 days judicial custody.

Let me tell you, a demand of Rs 5 crore was demanded from Swami Chinmayananda in the past. The student has also been made an accused in this case. According to the information, the student had demanded Rs 5 crore from Chinmayananda before the accusation. The SIT is being claimed to have strong evidence against the student.
