398 artists and entertainment executives have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited 398 artists and entertainment executives to join. These individuals include Ke Huy Quan, Austin Butler, Keke Palmer, Paul Mescal, and Taylor Swift.

22 Oscar winners and 76 nominees are among those invited, as well as writers, directors, and producers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert of "Everything Everywhere All at Once," who must select one of the three branches, and actors Paul Mescal, Stephanie Hsu, and Kerry Condon.

40% of the class of 2023 are women. In addition, 34% of the class are from underrepresented ethnic or racial groups, and 52% are foreign-born, coming from 51 different nations and territories. With the additional guests, the 2024 class will include 34% female, 18% non-white and 20% non-American voting members

This year's invitees, which include "RRR" actors Ram Charan and NT Rama Rao Jr., "Holy Spider" star Zar Amir-Ebrahimi, "Triangle of Sadness" breakout Dolly De Leon, "Shoplifters" actress Sakura Ando, "Phantom Thread" star Vicky Kreips, and "Decision to Leave" actor Park Hae-il, are largely from nations outside of the United States. Hollywood actors like Lashana Lynch, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Hader, Paul Reiser, Selma Blair, and Robert John Davi from "The Goonies" are also included on the list.

David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, Joana Vicente, the CEO of the Sundance Institute, and Janet Pierson, the former director of SXSW, are some of the executives invited.

Along with Abel Makkonen Tesfaye ("The Weeknd") and Swift, who recently wrote a song for "Where the Crawdads Sing," other notables in the music industry include David Byrne, "RRR's" M.M. Keeravaani, and Son Lux's Ryan Lott and Ian Chang.

A few directors received invitations to various branches. While "Aftersun's" Charlotte Wells received an invitation for the writer's branch, which also included Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro, "Marcel the Shell With Shoes On" director Dean Fleischer-Camp received an invitation for the branch for animation and short films.
