In Madhya Pradesh, the last member of the family died today in the Pipalani region of Bhopal, where five members of the same family were poisoned. The woman died of her injuries while being treated on Monday morning, following her two daughters, mother-in-law, and husband. Sanjeev Joshi (47), his mother Nandini (67), wife Archana (45), and daughters Grishma (21) and Purvi (16) reportedly ingested a cold drink laced with poison on Thursday night, according to the police officer. Joshi and his family, who are engineers by profession, also used Whatsapp to 'live stream' the occurrence. According to the official, Joshi had previously poisoned his dog in order to test the poison's impact.

In-charge of the Pipalani police station "Nandini and Purvi died in the hospital on Friday, Grishma on Saturday morning, Sanjeev Joshi late Saturday night, and Archana Joshi undergoing treatment on Monday morning," according to Ajay Nair. On Whatsapp, the family's two daughters drafted separate suicide messages and sent them to their relatives. The suicide letter was also critical of both of the children's families. In their suicide letter, the two girls discussed their dreams, saying that a baby girl had indicated a desire to be a scientist and a baby girl had stated a desire to be a fashion designer, but both ambitions had been shattered.

Four women arrested in case: Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Singh Bhadauria had said on Friday that Joshi had taken loans from 7 to 8 people. Nair said police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against four women and the accused have been taken into custody. On Saturday itself, the BJP MLA had handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Sanjeev, who was undergoing treatment in a critical condition and shared a picture after which the MLA was trolled by people on social media. Congress has termed the behaviour of the BJP MLA as unfair and is now conducting a photo session with the MLA who is undergoing serious treatment in the ICU after Sanjeev's death.
