UP: factory of BJP leader sealed, fake books worth Rs 35 crore recovered

Meerut: In the case of fake book worth more than Rs 35 crore of NCERT in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state, the Partapur police sealed the factory of BJP leader Sanjeev Gupta in Mohammadpur. At Barot in Baghpat, raids were conducted on suspicion of fake books of NCERT. However, nothing was received there.

The police said that the four criminals Shivam, Rahul, Akash and Sunil taken into custody in the case have been sent to jail. The main culprits could not take Sanjeev Gupta and Sachin Gupta into STF and Partapur police custody. Their search is being pushed. According to the police, the warehouse of Sanjeev Gupta was sealed on Friday. Sanjeev and his nephew Sachin are being investigated for their relatives and contacts.

On the other side, there is a discussion that Sanjeev and Sachin are preparing to surrender in court. On the other hand, on the suspicion of having fake books of NCERT, SDM Durgesh Mishra and CO Alok Singh raided the warehouse of VK Prakashan in Barot, Baghpat. Due to the raid, eight book samples were taken. Watermarks were also examined on the books. Also, the SDM and CO said that the owner of the VK publication has asked for a copy of the bills of the book. Its full report will be sent to NCERT on Monday. The same case is now being investigated.
