Raipur: There has been a new revelation in the case of rape and assault of a minor girl in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. The victim has said in her statement to the police that the accused Rakesh Meshram had been carrying out the rape incident for the last two years by threatening and cheating her. During this period, when the minor girl was pregnant two to three times, she was fed a pill and miscarried.

According to media reports, Usha Ahirwar of the police department investigating the case has said that the woman said in her statement that accused Rakesh Meshram used to carry out rape cases by constantly cheating and intimidating her. During this time, when the victim was pregnant, the accused used to feed him a tablet. It is being told that the accused has been beaten up a week ago for knowing that the woman was pregnant.

The victim's condition is critical due to the assault of the accused and she has been admitted to the ICU of the Medical College Hospital for treatment. Questions are also being raised on the functioning of Chikhali Outpost Police in this matter. Earlier, the family of the victim has been accused of not registering a case on the complaint initially.
