Midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who played for German League (Bundesliga) club Bayern Munich, will undergo a rehabilitation for two weeks after knee surgery. The club said in a statement, "Coutinho has undergone his right knee operation on Friday. The operation has been successful. The Brazilian players will now undergo 14 days of rehabilitation."
Coutinho, who went on a loan from Barcelona to the Bayern Munich club, has played 32 matches for the German club so far, scoring nine goals. The 27-year-old Coutinho has not missed a single match since joining the club.
According to the information received, the German Football League has been postponed since 13 March due to Coronavire. The German Football League (DFL) chief executive, Christian Seifert, said he hoped the league would resume in the country from May 9.
