Egypt's journey in the FIFA World Cup ended a very disappointing way. In the last league match played in Group A, they suffered a loss by 1-2 against Saudi Arabia, from which they remained out of the FIFA 2018. Both goals were made in the first and second half innings time by Saudi Arabia.

In the first half, Saudi Arabia retained possession of the ball for a long time, but Star Striker Muhammad gave the initial edge to Egypt. Al-Mawlad, who took the penalty, tried to push the ball into the goal post with full force, but the world's oldest player, Isham, defended it and gave great relief to his team. When the game was going on in the time of injections, Egypt's Ali Gabbar dropped al-Muwlad in his box, whose referee's referee paid tribute to Saudi Arabia on the basis of video assistants technology. This time, Salman al-Faraj, who took penalties, scored a fine goal from on the right side and scored for his team just ahead of half time. 

In the second half, Egypt scored many opportunities. Salah also got many opportunities to score goals but he could not give the edge to his team. On the outskirts of Abdullah Otte, Salem al-Davsari scored a goal to make Saudi Arabia rise to a 2-1 lead, which remained till the end.
