Ghaziabad: Members of people for animal working and Thana Tronica City police of Loni raided the Shiva Dham temple in Daulat Nagar colony last Tuesday and seized a skin of chinkara deer from the priest's room of a temple. Police have arrested the culprit and registered a case under the Wildlife Act.

According to the same reports, the case was handed over to the Police Station Tranika City police by people for animal belonging to an animal. Acting on this, the police had received a complaint of the priest selling chinkara skins at Shiv Dham temple at Daulat Nagar colony in the Tronica City police station area. After which the police team raided the room of temple priest Damodar Shastri.

From here, the police team seized the skins of chinkara kept under the valley. Police arrested Pandit and brought him to the police station for questioning. In the interrogation, the criminal identified himself as Damodar Shastri, a resident of Daulat Nagar. The criminal is originally from village Senwa Shergarh Mathura, UP. He has been staying in the temple for nearly eight years and offering prayers. A case under the Wildlife Act has been registered against the offender on the complaint of the PFA office bearer.
