Bareilly: A 13-year-old girl's body was found in a swimming pool late Friday night in Hafizganj, three hours after she was reported missing, police said.

They said the deceased's father has accused the owner of the swimming pool of killing her daughter, and that the body has been sent for a post mortem examination and that an investigation is underway.

"A 13-year-old girl went missing on Friday evening," said Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rajkumar Agarwal. Later that night, the girl's body was seen in a swimming pool." He stated on Saturday. 

The swimming pool, which is located within the Hafizganj police station, was seen to be functioning unlawfully and without sufficient approval. "The father of the missing girl has charged the swimming pool owner with murder. We've filed a FIR and started an investigation based on his complaint," stated the officer. The district's senior administrative officials have issued instructions to close the unlawful swimming pool.
