Ahmedabad: A youth has lost his life while another was seriously injured in a dispute over playing a loudspeaker at a temple in the Mehsana district of Gujrat, and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. After the incident was reported, the police registered a case and started an investigation. The case pertains to Thakor Vas of Mundarda village.

According to information, on Tuesday evening, 46-year-old Ajitji Thakor, a resident of Mundrada, was lighting a Diya in a temple built in the compound of the house along with his younger brother Jaswantji Thakor. After the puja, he put his mother's hymns on the loudspeaker. After some time, Sadaji Thakor, who lives in the neighborhood, reached there and asked Ajitji why are you playing on the loudspeaker? Ajitji said that it is time for the evening, after lighting the Diya-batti, the hymns will run in the temple. After this, Sadaji Thakor left from there and after some time reached Ajitji's house with six people. Then all of them started beating Ajitji and Jaswantji badly. The accused brutally thrashed the two brothers with sticks and iron rods. Jaswantji and Ajitji were bloodied in this attack.

Meanwhile, Ajitji and Jaswantji's mother Hansa Ben, who were present at the spot, informed the police about the incident. Police, who rushed to the spot, rushed the two injured to a local hospital in an ambulance, but as the condition of both of them was critical, they were referred to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital from Mehsana. After reaching here, the doctors declared Jaswantji Thakor brought dead. Police have registered a case against six people. No one has been arrested at the moment. Police have registered a case against Sadaji Thakor, Vishnuji Thakor, Babuji Thakor, Jayantiji Thakor, Jawanji Thakor, and Vinodji Thakor under relevant sections and started an investigation.
