Lucknow: The Income Tax Department raided the house of Samajwadi Party leader and party general secretary and spokesperson Rajiv Rai in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh this morning. His house has been raided for two hours. A large number of forces have reportedly been deployed along with income tax department officials so that no one can enter or go out. On the other hand, SP workers created a ruckus following the news of the income tax department raid on Rajiv Rai's house and a large number of police are deployed in view of the uproar.

Let us tell you that politics is set to begin over the income tax department raid on the SP leader's house just before the assembly elections in the state. The SP has earlier alleged that the Central Government is misusing IT, ED and CBI to put pressure on opposition parties. On the other hand, after the income tax raid on SP leader Rajiv's house just before the elections in the state, SP will not lag behind in cornering the state and central government in the matter. At the same time, other political parties may also stand with the SP over the same. Let us also tell all of you that Rajiv Rai had come into controversy in the past and inaugurated the Poorvanchal Expressway to be carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with SP leaders even before it was inaugurated.

SP National General Secretary and spokesperson Rajiv Rai had also inaugurated the Poorvanchal Expressway in Mau district. On the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav's public meeting in Ghazipur district on November 16 was not allowed by the district administration. Protesting against this, Rajiv Rai and SP leaders along with him had inaugurated the expressway.
