Indian team captain Rohit Sharma could not participate in the Chittagong Test match against Bangladesh due to an injury in his left thumb. Rohit Sharma suffered this injury during the first match of the ODI series. Now Rohit is likely to return to Bangladesh for the second Test to be played in Mirpur from December 22. When Rohit returns, India may have to struggle to choose the playing 11.

Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja was also asked a question about Rohit Sharma. When asked who will sit out of the team when Rohit returns due to Shubman Gill and Pujara scoring centuries, the former cricketer gave a surprising answer. Ajay Jadeja said, 'That's why I am saying tell Rohit to sit outside. When a player has a fracture in his hand and cannot hold the bat for about 10 days. Even if that player recovers, he cannot join the team the next day.'

Ajay Jadeja said, "This fracture takes another 1 to 15 days to recover completely. And we don't even know the depth of the injury yet. That is why I am suggesting this. We are looking for a temporary solution and this is the best solution for it. If Rohit returns, Shubman Gill might have to sit out of the second Test. Shubman Gill was not a contender to be selected in the playing 11 of the first Test match in Chittagong. But when Rohit Sharma was out, Gill got the chance. Gill capitalized on this opportunity by scoring a century in India's second innings. Apart from Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara also scored an unbeaten 102 runs in the second innings.
