Indore: Effective and major action is being taken under the direction of Collector Manish Singh against those involved in an illegal land trade in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. In a major operation on Monday, 11.942 hectares (about 29 acres) of land worth Rs 750 crore was declared official.

Orders in this regard were passed by the court of Additional Collector Dr Abhay Bedkar. FIR under Sections 420, 467, 468, 120B of IPC has also been registered against the concerned convicts Deepak Madda, Dilawar Patel, Sohrab Patel, Islam Patel and Zakir at Khajrana police station. Additional District Magistrate Dr Abhay Bedkar informed that collector Manish Singh had received a complaint about the sale of land of Nyaya Nagar Sanstha by Farmers Sohrab and Islam Putra Alam from Khajrana to another institution Trishala Housing Co-operative Society in a manner against the contracted land rule of Nyaya Nagar Sanstha.

He said that the deprived members of the Nyaya Nagar Sanstha had been struggling for many years to get the land from the institution. At the same time, a complaint was lodged by The Meghna-Trishla Housing Co-operative Society Victims Association by President Gajendra Girdhari Lal Sen and others that plots were not being allotted to them by the president of the institute Deepak Jain alias Deepak Madda alias Dilip Sisodia and they have been harassed for many years. The action has since been taken under the leadership of Collector Manish Singh.
