Greater Noida: A dreadful case of harassing a woman for dowry has come to light in Greater Noida, adjacent to the national capital Delhi. It is alleged that the woman's husband, father-in-law and two other people beat her brutally. Not only this, she was burnt with cigarette for not fulfilling the demand of Rs 5 lakh and not having children.

Even after this,the accused tried to kill the woman by strangling her. The family members of the woman have admitted the victim to the hospital in the area. Police has registered a case against 6 accused including the woman's husband. Police has registered a case of dowry harassment and attempt to murder. This amazing case is of Silarpur village under Jarcha area.

Shivani (name changed) from Beel Akbarpur village in Dadri area was married to Rajiv, son of Lokesh Sharma, about four years ago. The victim says that her in-laws used to constantly demand Scorpio and Rs 5 lakh from her in dowry. When the victim opposed it, her in-laws used to harass her on the next day. The victim told that her husband and father-in-law used to beat her forcefully with the belt. When the accused's mind was not so full, he was also fired with bidi and cigarette. At the same time, DCP Rajesh Singh has said that a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
