New Delhi: Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has made a big claim about the upcoming match between India and Pakistan. Rizwan said that many players from India and Pakistan, including Pujara, want to play with each other. It is worth mentioning that due to the souring of political and diplomatic relations, India-Pakistan teams do not play a bilateral series yet.

Speaking to the media, Rizwan said, "There has been a friendly discussion with Pujara. Cricket is our family, just like you all have a different family. We also keep talking among ourselves. The things that happen above are not in our hands. I have learnt a lot from Cheteshwar Pujara. As far as cricket is concerned, Pujara also said that we are ready to play together below, but the problem that is there (of the governments) above is not in our hands."

Team India last visited its neighbouring country in the year 2008. At present, the two countries are competing only in ICC events. The last time a bilateral series was held between the two countries was in 2012-13. Pakistan then toured India for three ODIs and two T20Is. While the Pakistan team won the ODI series 2-1, the T20 series was tied at 1-1. In the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, the two teams will clash once again.
