The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that pink ball test will be played in Ahmedabad in 2021. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president said the day-night Test between India and England will be played in Ahmedabad. England and India are scheduled to play five Tests and a limited-overs series in 2021. He added the venues have not been finalised yet, but he confirmed the place will be Ahmedabad.

He said the board have some plans about the venues as the series have more time left, we can reveal later.  A virtual meeting of the Apex Council of the BCCI was held on Saturday and the three major discussions were on the upcoming tour of Australia, England`s visit after the Australia series and starting the Indian domestic season. The main discussion on pink test is to create bio-secure bubble across three to four venues after the government permits. Depending on the situation, Ahmedabad or kolkatta will be the place to conduct  pink-ball test. But one conform thing is England is visiting India.
