KOLAR: Following a stone-pelting incident during the Sri Rama Shobha Yatra in Mulbagal town on Saturday, the Kolar district administration in Karnataka imposed prohibitory orders for three days.

Following the stone-pelting incident, the town was tense, and the decision was made to avoid any further occurrences. Miscreants threw stones at the devotees as the Shobha Yatra was being carried out on Friday night. They also destroyed a motorcycle and targeted automobiles, shops, and vehicle riders. There was also a power outage, which added to the stress and raised anxieties.

The police department, on the other hand, took control of the situation and dispersed the violent mob. To disperse the mob, the police had to resort to lathicharge. Authorities have acquired evidence and detained six suspects, who are being investigated in connection with the incident.

IGP Chandrashekar of the Central Intelligence Bureau has rushed to the town and is keeping an eye on the situation. To ensure peace and order in Mulbagal town, two platoons of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) and six platoons of the District Armed Reserve (DAR) have been deployed.

The vandals threw stones at a 16-foot tall Sri Ram deity that was being brought out in a procession. According to police officials, three motorcycles were set ablaze in the incident. The media was not permitted to report on the violent occurrence. The case is still being investigated by the police.
