The upcoming consecration ceremony for the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, is estimated to cost Rs 113 crore, as per details released by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The Trust also revealed that, to date, Rs 1,800 crore has been spent on the construction of the grand Ram temple. An additional Rs 670 crore is expected to be needed for the completion of the next two phases by the end of this year.

During a recent meeting, the Trust shared the financial report for the 2023-24 fiscal year, highlighting total expenses of Rs 676 crore, while the income generated was Rs 363.34 crore. Of this income, Rs 204 crore came from bank interest, while Rs 58 crore was collected through donations.

The Trust’s general secretary, Champat Rai, said  that the projected expenses between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, would be around Rs 850 crore.

Over the past four years, devotees have generously contributed approximately 20 kg of gold and 13 quintals of silver to the temple. The Trust plans to file its income tax return by September.

These financial figures reflect the significant investments and meticulous planning dedicated to the temple's construction and the upcoming consecration ceremony. The Trust continues to emphasize transparency and financial accountability in managing both the project and the donations received.
