Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): On Monday morning, a 26-year-old RSS worker was allegedly killed by a group of SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) members in Ellapully, Palakkad district.
The deceased, identified as S Sanjith, aged 27, was waylaid by a gang when he was travelling with his wife. When the youth was riding his motorcycle with his wife at 9 a.m., a group of four males followed him and attacked him. K.M. Haridas, the Palakkad BJP district president, described it as a "well-planned" political assassination by the SDPI.
When Sanjith and his wife were on their way, they were stopped and severely attacked. "The ruling party in the state has backed the SDPI," he claimed. A police team has arrived at the scene of the crime and is conducting an investigation. Despite being taken to a local hospital, Sanjith died as a result of his injuries. Security has been increased and the area has been roped off.
