Mumbai: A woman has been raped in Maharashtra. This woman had come to Panvel for work and was gang-raped by two men. After the rape, the woman somehow reached the police station and informed the police about the incident. After this, the police took action and arrested one criminal. At the same time, the second criminal is said to be absconding. Police are looking for him.
It was told that the incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday. The woman had come to Panvel for work. Late at night, she took a rickshaw to go to her house. A friend of the driver was already present in the rickshaw. Seeing the single woman, the rickshaw driver and his friend's intentions deteriorated. He turned the rickshaw into a deserted area instead of going to the place mentioned by the woman. After that, the two youths caught hold of the woman in the vacant building. They then took her to the terrace of the building and gang-raped her.
Both of them raped the woman there. Then they left her there and ran away. After this, the victim somehow reached the police station and told the police about the whole thing. The police registered a case of gang rape against two people on the complaint of the woman. On being told by the woman, the police checked the CCTV of the area through which the woman had passed. Subsequently, the rickshaw was identified as Vijay Kadabane. Panvel police said that after a CCTV examination, a criminal has been arrested. At the same time, the second criminal has managed to escape. Police say that the absconding criminal is being searched. The victim has been medically examined.
