Mumbai: The Kalyan police have arrested eight college students, including a student, for abetting the suicide of a minor. In fact, seven days ago, a 17-year-old girl had jumped from the third floor of the building and committed suicide. Due to the investigation, the police came to know that the girl had been sexually abused and her obscene video was being threatened to go viral on social media.  

The family members of the deceased girl alleged that the big builders of Kalyan and some rich people were also involved in this heinous incident. The family says they are being pressured and threatened to close the case. For this, he asked for protection from the police. The family members said that efforts are being made to save the big people involved in the case.   

In the same police investigation, it has come to light that a case has been registered against the criminals under the POCSO Act, including gang rape. The incident has created a stir in the area. People have come out on the road for justice for Kalyan's Nirbhaya. It is alleged that the deceased student was being harassed by seven youths and a young woman for the past one and a half years. Not only that, the criminal boys also sexually abused her. Police said that five days ago, seven boys were arrested on charges of mental torture and inciting self-indulgence. All the eight criminals were produced before the Kalyan district sessions court on Tuesday.
