New Delhi: Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will send a clear message about the current situation in the country if he attends the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building on May 28, actress Vinesh Phogat said on Friday. The country's top wrestlers, including Vinesh and Olympic medallists Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, have been sitting on a sit-in at Jantar Mantar since April 23. They have levelled serious allegations against Brij Bhushan for sexually assaulting seven women players, including a minor, and are appealing for  the arrest of the WFI president.

Regarding their demand, the protesting wrestlers have decided to hold a women's mahapanchayat in front of the new Parliament building on Sunday. Let us know that on this day, PM Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the new Parliament building. Asked what message would be sent if the WFI chief was present at the inauguration, Vinesh  continued, "If Brij Bhushan is present in the new Parliament on May 28, the entire country will automatically get the message. ’’

"Whoever is trying to save Brij Bhushan is against us. I don't know what is going on inside the government but someone is trying to save him and that is not right. He is harming the women of the country. ’’
