Kolkata: A sensational case has come out of Kolkata in West Bengal. Here a daughter set her own father on fire. The entire case was captured in a CCTV camera installed at the scene. The police arrested the woman and started investigating the case. According to the information, a 22-year-old girl took her father to a restaurant and fed him food, and also gave him liquor. In such a situation, when her father got drunk, the girl burnt her father. 

A senior police officer said that the girl went to have dinner with her father in a restaurant on Sunday night where she gave her father alcohol, then they went for a walk on Strad Road. The woman said that when her father slept on a bench by the river Hooghly, she poured kerosene oil on her father and set him on fire. The police claimed that the entire incident was captured on CCTV and the woman has confessed to her crime. Police said that the woman, a resident of Christopher Road near Park Circus, was arrested on a complaint lodged by her uncle. 

The officer said that during interrogation, the woman said that when she was younger, her mother had died. After which her father started harassing her, but it stopped after the marriage of the woman. The woman told that when her marriage broke up and she returned home, her harassment started again. The official said that we are verifying the allegations of the woman. The girl was presented in court. The court sent him to police custody till 29 March.
