Gurugram: In a tragic incident, a young man killed his wife from Gurugram. The only reason was that there was a dispute between the two over serving food. The husband got so angry at this that he strangled his wife to death. According to the report, the criminal, Deepak Khirbat (59), a resident of Surya Vihar Colony in Gurugram, is a retired government employee. The criminal strangulated his wife Poonam Arora (58). After that, the criminal called the police and informed about the incident, but he lied to the police. The criminal said that the wife had committed suicide. But the daughter opened the pole.
Police said the victim has been identified as Poonam Arora. The woman's body was lying on the bed with a chunni wrapped around her neck. Apart from the couple, six tenants also live in separate rooms of the house. According to police, on Wednesday evening, the criminal informed them that his wife had committed suicide. The police team, which reached the spot, found the woman lying dead on the bed.
After this, the woman's daughter Manyata William also reached the spot and filed a case with the police. William said in her complaint that her mother, who had fully recovered from her mental illness, used to call her and say that the tenants were not good and that they could kill her. Following the daughter's complaint, an FIR was registered against the suspected tenants under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy). Police said the post-mortem report had revealed strangulation. Nail marks were also found on the woman's body. Subsequently, the woman's husband was arrested for questioning. Manoj Kumar, SHO, Sector 9A police station, said the criminal husband confessed to his crime. The criminal said that he asked his wife to serve food, which led to a fight. Then, he killed his wife. The culprit was produced before a court which remanded him in judicial custody, police said.
