New Delhi: Two people have been arrested by the capital's police in connection with the rape of a woman in Hari Nagar area of the national capital. According to the information, at three o'clock last Monday, the woman had asked an unknown person to take her to her relative's place. Another person was also present in the car and the woman was sitting with that man in the car from Sagarpur.
Giving information, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Prashant Gautam said that he allegedly raped her after stopping the car at a deserted place in Nihal Vihar area. He said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police said there was confusion over the jurisdiction of the police as the car passed through several areas of Delhi. However, the matter was quickly resolved.
