Palghar: A 33-year-old builder was shot dead allegedly by two unidentified persons in Maharashtra's Palghar. Police reported this on Sunday. He said the matter is Saturday. The builder has been murdered due to old rivalry. The deceased was standing near a supermarket at Manvelpara in the Virar area. Just then, two scooter riders came near him and fired at him four times. As soon as he was shot, the builder fell down and died on the spot. At the same time, the attackers also fled from the spot.
As soon as the same case was reported, officials of the Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar police commissionerate rushed to the spot and the body was sent to the government hospital for postmortem. An official said the police have registered a case against nine persons, including a former councillor of the Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation, under relevant provisions in the case.
No arrests have been made yet. But the police have formed several teams to trace the absconding assailants. At the same time, BJP worker Vicky Arya was brutally murdered by criminals in the Kathunipol police station area of Kota city of Rajasthan late on Friday night.
