Chandigarh: In Haryana's Palwal district, two incidents of public robbery have come to light in a single day. The first incident of robbery is being told of Chandhat police station. Here, a canter driver was beaten up by road car miscreants and looted Rs 5000 and mobile, while in the second incident, bike riding miscreants robbed 12 thousand rupees and a bike from a youth returning home from duty under the camp police station. In both the cases, the police have started the action by registering a case on the basis of the complaint of the victims, although so far no criminal could be taken into custody.

Giving information about the first case, Chandhat police station in-charge Inspector Rajbir Singh has said that Khagendra Singh, a resident of village Bichpuri in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh, has complained that he was coming back to Faridabad from Khair in Aligarh last night with potatoes in his canter. As soon as he came in front of the Chandhat power house at around 1.30 pm, a Swift car came to a halt in front of his canter. Two youths got down from the car and came to him and dragged him from the seat and brought him down. Both the accused searched her and snatched about 5 thousand rupees from her when he protested they also assaulted him. According to the complainant, the age of the accused is around 20 to 22 years.

At the same time, while giving information about a second case, ASI Jeetram, the investigating officer posted in the camp police station, has said that Ajay, a resident of village Salotti, has lodged a complaint, he works in the Good Year Company located in Ballabhgarh. Last night he had left for Selouti village after completing his duty. When he reached Asawata village, some youths already present there stopped him. The criminals snatched Rs 12,000 from him and his bike, as well as thrashed him when he resisted and fled. The victim has identified one of the accused as Sachin alias Gucci, a resident of village Bhamraula. The complainant has told the police that the accused had a black coloured bike, which did not even have a number on it. Police say that raids are on to arrest the accused.
