On the second draft of the National Citizen Register (NRC), the issue continues throughout the country. In the meanwhile, the Chairman of the NRC, appointed by the Supreme Court, has said that there is no such thing as the deadline of December 31 for the completion of the National Register of Citizens, as the directive for the determination of any time limit in this regard is directed only by the Supreme Court. He said that the notification issued by the Registrar General of India for the completion of the 'National Register for the completion of the National Register' has not been a stone-racket. It has been notified fully for the purpose of the budget.

He said that the process of making the list of citizens in Assam is completely fair and transparent. However, those whose names are not in this list will be given an opportunity to present additional documents to prove their citizenship.

The Supreme Court said that the last date for giving an answer to the people made out of the NRC list has been given on September 28. After this, the final list will be released. He said, "However, till the Supreme Court sets a deadline in this matter, no list will be published to date."
