New Delhi: Reports of a rift between Team India Test captain Virat Kohli and ODI and T20 captain Rohit Sharma have been doing the news in the media. There were speculations that Kohli was not playing the ODI series in South Africa because he did not want to play cricket under Rohit Sharma. But now Virat Kohli himself has reined in all the speculation suo motu in the press conference.

Virat Kohli has said in a press conference that he has not asked for any rest from the BCCI and is all set to play in the ODI series in South Africa. Kohli, popularly known as run machine, said that wrong news has been spread about me in the media, I have not applied for a break on the board and I am ready to play a one-day series under Rohit's captaincy in South Africa. Media reports claimed that Kohli would not play a series ODI in Africa to celebrate his daughter Wamika's birthday.

Kohli also said that BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly had not asked him not to give up the T20 captaincy but he had taken the decision to focus on his batting. There were reports quoting Ganguly that he had asked Kohli not to give up the T20 captaincy. A BCCI official had also said that he had not received any application from Kohli seeking a break. Kohli has now put an end to speculation, now both Rohit and Kohli will be seen playing in the ODI series against Africa.
